How to Stay Informed and Up-To-Date
Have Your Say and Stay In Touch
Feature
The News and Research Center updates are provided by a team of experts in areas of safety, security and research. Importantly, each team member is a parent thus, New Child Safety is dedicated to the well-being of not only our own children but yours as well. We want to follow media stories from mainstream media and off beat news sources to keep you not only up to date but informed from a variety of news worthy perspectives.
Similarly, our research covers publications and activities from government, public health and academic sources so you'll know what's being discussed and done in many different topic areas pertaining to child safety. We will also cover information for children of all ages.
We think about safety so often when our children are small and dependent on our care, as they grow, topic areas change and we want our resources to reflect topic areas that parents, care-givers and community leaders need for all children regardless of their age.
Sign up for our publicaiton, the New Child Safety Zone Journal. We will publish this regularly and highlight pressing topics, interesting developments and resources for you to use whether your researching a topic, establishing good child safety rules or simply want to know what's happening in particular areas. Have this information delivered right to your inbox so you won't miss a publication
New Child Safety Ensures Your Privacy, Read How
We recommend that you bookmark the site and suggest you use our home page - that way you'll easily be able to check a topic or pop over to the New and Research Center each visit.
A priority for our NCS team is to listen to what our site users need and want, just because we do not have a topic covered on this site or featured in the News and Research Center does not mean we will not cover it.
All you have to do is send us an email at info@newchildsafety.com and we will post information for you, the very least we will do is provide you with a reference that we
have already checked out so you can get the information you need.
The other thing to do is follow us on Twitter and you can do this by viewing our Socializing page. This is particularly important. There are times when there are breaking news stories such as recent product recalls
and/or findings of particular research studies that we want to pass along quickly and although we will post to the website, especially in the New and Research Center, the quickest way to stay up to date is by following us in real time on Twitter.
We have an exciting venture underway that began January 1, 2010! At New Child Safety we are instituting a project based on Timothy Ferriss' 'The 4-Hour Workweek'. Join our blog at http://4hrwwproject.wordpress.com/ and follow us to see how we are using the advice and principles from this wonderful book to transform our personal and professional lives. Each week, we will discuss our challenges and success' of taking Ferriss' principles and tactics and applying them to our E-business and other ventures in order to create freedom and abundance in our daily lives. Come along for the journey for the next year and see how we do! We hope to hear from you and read the Connection Between our 4 Hour-Workweek Project and New Child Safety to really understand the relationship between our New Child Safety site and the 4 Hour-Workweek Project.
You will notice us using the term 'stay informed' and 'Up-To-Date' throughout our website. This is a main tenant of the work we do here at NCS, we strongly believe that is necessary and important to remain informed about various topics concerning child safety. We know that the information out there changes all the time. We also understand that it is difficult to know where to go to get what you need and at times it is confusing. We are dedicated to searching through a vast amount of information to bring you up-to-date and important pieces of information updates across all our topics.
We have decided to start general, knowing that a lot of our followers will be new parents looking at some of these topics for the first time such as child safety in the home, car seats and fire safety. Then we have parents and care-givers of older children, who may be facing new topic areas such as Internet safety as their child grows and begins to go online or perhaps the family that has a new driver - this one is particularly stressful and we know teaching and role modeling car (road) safety is key!
Are there other sties online with the same child safety information? Of course there are, this is the Internet. There are hundreds if not thousands of other sites. This is not a concern for us. We are so confident in the team we have put together, the research and safety experts on staff and the willingness to provide excellent information service to our users that we will build a great following. We know you need to stay informed and up-to-date and it is our job to help you do that.
