For many of us in the Northern Hemisphere we are wishing for Spring and looking forward to the warm days of summer. We know our counter-parts in other areas of the world are either enjoying summer or perhaps lucky enough to experience warm sunny days all year long. Our coming issue of New Child Safety Zone Journal is going to look at various aspects of sun safety. It is important to note that using sunscreen is recommended throughout the year. Dr. April Armstrong a dermatologist and Assistant Professor at the Davis School of Medicine, University of California reminds us that the cold temperatures along with darker days of winter lull some people into a false sense of security going without sunscreen in the winter. We need to pay attention to sun safety throughout the year.
